Celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with Canadian Chanteuse Jill Barber

 

MISSISSAUGA, July 24, 2012 – Celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a free performance by Mississauga’s own Juno-nominated chanteuse Jill Barber at Mississauga Celebration Square on Friday, July 27 at 7 p.m.   

 

"I'm thrilled to be performing back in my home city of Mississauga, on such a commemorative occasion as the Queen's Jubilee,” said Canadian singer-songwriter, Jill Barber.  “I will be performing an eclectic mix of songs from my latest album Mischievous Moon, as well as some older hits."

 

Take in the romantic, vintage-inspired melodies as Celebration Square is transformed into an English courtyard featuring a vintage British Car Show by the Toronto Triumph Club and complimentary high tea and biscuits at the “Carat Café.”

 

Opening for Jill Barber are Canadian jazz musicians Shannon Butcher and Arlene Paculan.
