Downtown Mississauga Workers Step Out of Cubicles and onto the Stage!

 

MISSISSAUGA, July 23, 2012 – This Thursday from noon to 2 p.m., Mississauga’s downtown office workers will drop their pens and papers for guitars and drumsticks in an epic battle of the office bands at Mississauga Celebration Square.

 

“We want office workers in the city’s downtown to showcase their musical talents live on the Square,” said Melissa Agius, Mississauga Celebration Square Events Manager.  “Office bands from several downtown businesses have entered the competition and will battle it out for the title of Mississauga’s Top Office Band!”

 

Food trucks are back by popular demand! Sample curbside cuisine from Smoke's Poutinerie, The Portobello Burger and Cupcake Diner.

1:05 p.m. - City of Mississauga, Business Planning

1:20 p.m. - Voting begins

            1:35 p.m. - Winner announced!

Cost:               Free

 

Top band wins $400 in Jack’s Cash, courtesy of Jack Astor’s Square One.  Fans can text their votes live at the event to choose the winner.
