Mississauga City Council is the main governing body for the City of Mississauga. Council consists of the Mayor and the 11 elected members of Council, one representing each of the 11 City Wards.
Councillors’ Correspondence and Records
Councillor’s constituent records and correspondence are not subject to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act or the City’s privacy policies. The records are the Councillor’s personal records and are held by the Councillor in the capacity of an elected representative of a constituent and relate to the Councillor’s mandate and function as an elected representative only. That means that a Councillor will not share your correspondence with staff unless you give permission.
Council and Committee Meetings
City Council meets on Wednesday mornings twice per month at City Hall. All meetings are open to the public, videotaped, archived and available for live viewing here.
